R.I.P Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn (December 11, 1918 – August 3, 2008
The frontier between good and evil,
Lays not between truth and lies,
For it is drawn in the hearts of men,
Who choose silence or who cheer,
Whilst the world as one looks away,
So seek to keep the sun in your eyes,
but without ever going blind,
And walk with silent ghosts,
on the right side of the line.
We salute a brave man who was able to cross the line between body and soul.
ReplyDeleteHe lived through harsh and brutal times and suffered yet his spirit lived on until it broke the back of the repressive Soviet system.
Proof that the spirit can sometimes destroy the soulless machines of man.
Solzhenitsyn was later disgraced by the Capitalist system of America when he too realised its subtle brutality and fascist nature.
He returned to home to a freer Russia and hailed a hero.
