Cro-Magnons, Mirror Neurones and Altruism

For a while I have been working on a theory that links the Cro-Magnons, Western Culture and altruism. It is my theory that the basis of human altruism and our capacity for creating complex and advanced social structures and cultures is due to the increase in the numbers of mirror neurones in the human brain and the increased connections between the mirror neurones and the neo-cortex.


This theory is based on the Mirror Neurone. Mirror Neurones are those neurones in the brain that fire when we view the actions of others. The firing of the neurones triggers an empathic response in the brain of the viewer. This is the basis of advanced cultural development, as the more complex technology in any human society then more complex behaviours are required to produce that technology. A flint napped into a knife is a supreme peice of complex technology. In order to produce a flint knife, and to teach someone else to make a similar flint knife, requires an astonishing level of intelligence, memory, culture and ability to learn and mimic behaviours.

Mirror Neurones are the tools that allow the human ability for high intelligence, organised memory and the ability to mimic complex behaviours.

Following on from the Triune Brain Theory of Howard Bloom and Paul MacLean, I propose that in fact there are in fact five major brain structures relating to the different speciations in the evolutionary path of humanity. The ongoing process of human speciation in action is the Cro-Magnon structural change in the brain of those descendants of Cro-Magnons that increased both the density of mirror neurones and also increased the connections between them. This evolutionary change is primarily present within the indigenous European peoples descended from the Cro-Magnon tribal group present within Europe approximately 50,000 years ago, and whose descendants are primarily indigenous Europeans.

Five Brain structure

Brain 1 = The R Complex = relating to the snake and lizard level of our evolutionary path = controls hunger, thirst, temperature, fight or flight - fear - related to territoriality - The Reptilian Brain. The R-complex, also known as the "Reptilian Brain", includes the brain stem and cerebellum. The term "Reptilian brain" comes from the fact that a reptile's brain is dominated by the brain stem and cerebellum which controls instinctive survival behavior and thinking. This is similar in humans. This brain controls the muscles, balance and autonomic functions (e.g. breathing and heartbeat)[1]; thus it is primarily reactive to direct stimuli.



Brain 2 = Limbic system wrapped around brain 1 = The mammalian brain structure. MacLean first introduced the term "limbic system" in a paper in 1952. This portion of the brain derives from "the old mammalian brain". The limbic system is the source of emotions and instincts (e.g.. feeding, fighting, fleeing, and sexual behaviour). When this part of the brain is stimulated, such as by mild electric current, emotions are produced.

MacLean observed that everything in the limbic system is either "agreeable or disagreeable." Survival is based upon the avoidance of pain (disagreeable) and the recurrence of pleasure (agreeable).

The limbic system comprises the amygdala, the hypothalamus, and the hippocampus. The limbic system must interact with the neocortex in some way. The limbic system cannot function entirely on its own. It needs to interact with the neocortex to process the emotions.



Brain 3 = Neo-Cortex wrapped around brain 2 = The Primate brain structure = higher levels of social organisation. The neocortex, also known as the cerebral cortex, is similar to the brain of higher mammals and controls higher-order thinking skills, reason and speech


Brain 4 = Broca area develops in Homo Sapiens. Change from primates to humans which led to a massive growth in Homo Sapiens of the Neo-Cortex and the development of the Broca area of the brain in Homo Sapiens. Only 1.6 % difference between apes and man in terms of genetics, and most of that difference is in the brain. In humans the neo-cortex is massive compared to apes. This also allowed a massive growth in the density of Mirror Neurones in the increased size of the Neo-Cortex. This allowed increased social development and greater group co-operation. This is the period of the Chomsky brain change theory that led to creation of human potential for language. This was also the primitive language structures for primitive community structures eg nuclear family groups. The neocortex, also known as the cerebral cortex, is similar to the brain of higher mammals and controls higher-order thinking skills, reason and speech

Brain 5 = Mirror Neurone Theory that relates to the Cro-Magnons of Europe.


The Cro-Magnon Revolution.

The movement of Homo Sapiens into Europe required greater social organisation and future planning than that required in the environments adjacent to Northern Europe. The individuals that comprised the original Cro-Magnon population probably descended from an East Africa origin via South Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East and even North Africa from a genetic perspective no less than a 150,000 - 100,000 years ago according to mitochondrial DNA evidence.

In order to survive in the different environments, then natural selection and culture development evolved as one. The fittest and most clever survived on average longer than the unfit and the stupid.

The fittest and most intelligent of those that entered the European wilderness and who adapted fastest and most succesfully to their environment survived the longest.

The long winters in the North required the plotting of the seasons etc due to harsher environmental conditions. As natural selection worked on saving the fittest and most intelligent of the proto-Indo-Europeans the connections linked to the Brocas Area of the brain were changed. The slow changes in the wiring and size of the mirror neurone system within the brains of those within the proto-Cro-Magnon tribal groups were passed on genetically down the line of the generations and eventually facilitated a moment of punctuated equilibrium. An inheritable genetic trait occured that allowed a change in the brain structures of the Cro-Magnons to be passed on.

This genetic change allowed a rapid explosion of complex cultural developments in Cro-Magnon societies that then spread to all other Homo Sapiens groups who were capable of mimicking those advanced human behaviours and cultures. The capacity for imitation and meme storage were increased in the Cro-Magnon leap forward and the original human neo-cortex underwent structural changes at the same time as the amalygdala also underwent structural change. The human neo-Cortex is able to recognise racial differences, as well as the amalygdala, at the level of the unconscious as detected in brain scans.

In experiments between individuals from different racial groups, when whites are shown photographs of blacks the amalygdala fires in a way that is different when shown a picture of another white person. The same thing happens when blacks are shown photographs of whites, the brain of the black person is different when shown photographs of other other blacks. THEY BOTH SHOW LESS FEAR OF THOSE FROM THEIR OWN RACIAL GROUP, THAN THEY SHOW FOR THOSE OUTSIDE THEIR RACIAL GROUP.

The fact that both whites and blacks showed less activity in the Amaygdala when looking at others of their racial groups is because the Mirror Neurones are aware that the 'other' is related to the 'Self', in other words that they recognise racial kinship and genetic kinship. This unconscious recognition then activates the altruism response based on genetic kinship AS THEY NO LONGER FEAR THE OTHER. The basis of Group Selection and altruism depends upon the ability of the mirror neurones to recognise both fellow members of the group and non-members of the group.

The structures of the Mirror Neurones in the Neo-Cortex reflect the oneness with the other white person and hence ‘dampen‘ the firing of the fear response in the Amygdala.

The amalygdala unconsciously recognises the racial differences between individuals and then the neo-cortex consciously reflects that these racial differences exist directly into the consciousness. This means the Cro-Magnon brain must have experienced changes both in the structures of the amalygdala and the neo-cortex that expressed this active ability to differentiate between Cro-Magnons and other racial groups.

The fact that both whites and blacks recognise the differences unconsciously between racial groups, proves that this difference is based on changes in brain structure predicated on identifying racial differences. A priori therefore racial differences exist not just at the level of the physical human form eg skin colour but also within the brain itself and at the level of inherited genetics. We inherit our ability to recognise racial differences.

This change in the structure of the brain to explictly recognise racial difference is also linked to IQ difference and other structural brain changes between the racial groups. The changes in the Cro-Magnon brain in relation mirror neurone density and connections to the neo-cortex allowed their brains to store more complex memes, process them and transmit them via those changes in the Mirror Neurone structures. The more complex the links between the mirror neurones and the density of mirror neurones in the neo-cortex the more complex behaviours and complex cultures and technologies are available.

There is a fundamental difference between memory, intelligence and memes.

Memory is information based on past experiences related to the instinct and instinctive reactions processed in the Amalygdala (this I define as Wisdom, and is the stored memories of the unconscious at all levels of speciation. We have five different 'intelligences' that operate within the brain at the same time ;

1) The Serpent consciousness of the R Complex.

2) The Dolphin consciousness of the Limbic system

3) The Ape consciousness of the primate Neo-Cortex

4) The Human consciousness related to the Brocas area of the brain and increase in mirror neurone density in neo-cortex

5) The Cro-Magnon consciousness related to changes in links between mirror neurone density, the amalygdala, the Hippocampus and the neo-cortex.

Intelligence relates to the immediate ability of the consciousness to process and utilise new information and new experiences (Knowledge) within the Hippocampus.

The capacity of the brain to create, store and transmit complex Memes relates to the ability of the brain to fuse past learned experiences (wisdom) and new information (knowledge) into creating and passing on new technologies and cultures. This ability is located and based on the changes in the broca area and Mirror Neurone structures of the Neo-Cortex that occured in the early humans.

It was the change in the Mirror Neurone structures relating to the ability to create, store and transmit complex Memes that linked the amalygdala, the neo-cortex and the hippocampus that formed the basis of the Brain 5 evolution of the Cro-Magnons.

This change in the capacity of Cro-Magnon brains to create, store and transmit Memes allowed rapid transmission of complex Memes amongst Cro-Magnons creating the new human cultures called the Great Leap Forward.

Though this change occured in the Cro-Magnon peoples, it has since spread via genetic drift to many other racial groups in the world as a result of Cro-Magnon and indigenous European migration over the last 50,000 years since the adaption occurred so the drift of the adaption is quite prevalent I suspect.

This link between genes and culture is why many technologically complex African nations and socieities once under the European empires have since 'crashed' in the ebb of imperialism. As the whites left Africa then the complex white cultures thay created and sustained also collapsed. The unique complex technological cultures of Europe derived from the Cro-Magnons are not able to be sustained once the Europeans are removed from Africa eg as is happening in Zimbabwe etc.

All racial groups express their own'natural' culture and level of social and technological complexity.

The fact that blacks and whites regard whites each as different racial groups at the unconscious level of the Amalygdala, and whites and black both see fellow whites and blacks as similar at the level of the Amalygdala, is proof that the brain structures of both whites and blacks are different - if not then why does the Amalygdala register racial differences ?

I suspect that the creation of the capacity for the Proto-Cro-Magnon Language that came into being around 50,000 BC and that evolved into Proto-Indo European about 15,000 years ago and then into the Indo-European language around 8000 years ago, is also linked to further changes in the mirror neurone structures related to the Brocas area of the brain.

European civilisation is a product of Cro-Magnons and only the presence of the indigenous European Cro-Magnon peoples sustains European technological society.

Once the creators and guardians of a Meme or are a culture are gone, then the Meme is lost. The culture disappears when the creators of that culture dissapear.

A change in the wiring of the Cro-Magnon brain allowed the creation of new advanced cultural memes and allowed them to be spread, disseminated and sustained. Once the Cro-Magnons go, then the Cultures they protect as memes in their minds via the mirror neurones vanish rapidly.

A 2003 study on Cro-Magnon and Neanderthal mitochondrial DNA, published by an Italo-Spanish research team led by David Caramelli, concluded that Neanderthal man was far outside the modern human range, while Cro-Magnon people were not just inside but well in the average of modern Europeans. This is proof that most modern Europeans are descendants of the Cro-Magnons.

mtDNA retrieved from 2 Cro-Magnon specimens was identified as Haplogroup N. Haplogroup N is found amongst modern day populations of the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia and its descendant haplogroups can be seen amongst modern Europeans, Eurasians, East Asians and Native American populations.

Heima - Sigur Ros - The Northern Folk Soul

Music rarely has the power to astonish, to awaken within ones self the precious numinous sensation of being in the presence of something that is simply pure beauty.

The music of Sigur Ros has that just elemental power.

The band Sigur Ros derive from Iceland, and their music is elemental in its evocation of the spirit of Iceland itself.

Heima means Homeland.

But the roots of this music can be traced far further back than that, because this music communicates to a scared place within ourselves, and its roots can be traced back the homeland of the Northern soul and spirit.

This is music of the blood, as it communicates without words via emotions. The singer sings in an articifial language which cannot ever be translated, and so the images it creates within ourselves and our individual emotional responses to the music are evoked purely by ourselves.

We live in a modern media saturated society based on conditioning where the advertising industry use music as a mechanism to directly influence behaviour. Therefore most music has a message, either from its creator or from its pimp.

This music though is simply truth for it derives from a place of awesome power, a land where fire and ice fight, where the land where sky and ocean merge and it is to this place that the music lifts and takes you.

The recent DVD release of the musical odyssey that is Heima, is like the rupturing of rock and the gushing forth of a quicksilver stream of clear water.

Not since Mozart, Beethoven or Wagner has a music been created that directly reflects the Higher European Spiritual Soul. This music is a unique musical form, specific to the European folk soul.

Stand and Deliver Peter Hain

The slimey low life crook and political highwayman Peter Hain, the Tweedledum to Gerry Gables Tweededumber, has once again 'forgotten' to file accounts for over 100 hundred thousand pounds donated to him during his leadership challenge.

The donations came from businessmen, including £10,000 from Mike Cuddy, who runs a building contractors in Wales, and also from unions, with £10,000 being donated by the GMB and £2,500 by UCAT.

Half the cash given to the Work and Pensions Secretary was donated via a virtually unknown think-tank created just five months before the contest, fuelling suspicions that it was used as a go-between to shield a series of "hidden" donors.

They included Isaac Kaye, 78, who is linked to South Africa's pro-apartheid National Party and was embroiled in a police investigation into a suspected £400million fraud against the NHS.

Mr Hain was forced to submit a file of the donations to the watchdog the Electoral Commission, which is investigating the funds.

He had previously revealed £83,000 in gifts for his failed deputy leadership bid, meaning his total campaign funds were more than £186,000, far outstripping those of his five rivals.

Mr Kaye donated nearly £15,000 through the Progressive Policies Forum think-tank in September and November last year.

The deputy leadership contest had ended but the minister was struggling to meet a shortfall in funds.

Mr Kaye was chairman of Norton Healthcare, one of seven firms investigated over allegations that they fixed the price of popular drugs to reap vast profits at huge cost to the taxpayer.

The multi-millionaire stepped down from the company in 2003 and, in 2006, it agreed to pay the NHS £13.5million in an out-of-court settlement over the scandal.

The firm is set to stand trial in autumn this year on criminal charges of conspiracy to defraud in relation to the pricing and supply of drugs.

The Progressive Policies Forum took a total of £50,000 from four individuals between July and November.

Records at Companies House show it was created in December 2006 at the same address in central London as solicitors McEwen Parkinson. There is no other record of the PPF's work.

A spokesman for the PPF said: "We were supportive of Peter Hain's deputy leadership campaign, and we believe that had Peter been elected, he would have advanced progressive policies. Funds provided to PPF were properly paid to Hain4Labour and were reportable donations. PPF understands these reports have now been made."

Others who used the PPF to donate money include Willie Nagel, a diamond broker and former Tory supporter. He gave an interest-free loan of £25,000 and a gift of £5,000.

The link between Isaac Kaye and Peter Hain is an interesting one. It appears that the once communist revolutionary and supporter of ANC and ARM terrorism is now financial buddies with one of the people that were running South Africa at the time of Mr. Hains activities.

This is an odd link, and it may well be worth investigating the links between Isaac Kaye and Mr. Hapin a little deeper.

Isaac Kaye, the Labour donor at the helm of a drug company raided by police investigating an alleged £400m rip-off of the NHS, converted to Blairism after supporting South Africa's Afrikaner-led National party.
The seventysomething multi-millionaire moved to Britain in 1985, took Irish citizenship and salted away a small fortune in a Channel Islands trust fund from a US business deal.

Kaye is the chairman of IVAX Pharmaceuticals UK, the health service's biggest supplier of generic drugs and one of six firms suspected of being involved in a price fixing cartel to push up prices charged to the NHS. IVAX denies any wrongdoing and the Labour party has declined to comment on its relationship with Kaye.


Now living in Mayfair, he made no secret of his admiration for Tony Blair by spending £5,000 in 1997 and 1998 on tickets for Labour gala dinners and donating £100,000 to the party in 1999. He also gave £10,000 to the London mayoral campaign of Frank Dobson, the former Labour health secretary.

Kaye was was caught up in a "gifts for influence" scandal in South Africa during the early 1980s amid claims that doctors were being rewarded with everything from cars and TVs to swimming pool equipment and chandeliers for prescribing drugs made by his then firm. He denied any impropriety, saying the giving of presents was not an inducement but an appreciation. Six years ago his company in Britain was censured for offering mountain bikes, Marks & Spencer vouchers and other "unacceptable inducements" to doctors and chemists.

Kaye sold his first company in Britain, Harris, to the Florida-based IVAX Corpin 1990 and it was renamed Norton Healthcare before switching to Ivax Pharmaceuticals UK. Kaye, according to Osler, made £23m from the deal and has a £12m stake in the parent company.



Norton Healthcare - the largest manufacturer of generic drugs for the NHS - has reached an out of court settlement with the Department of Health over claims it participated in an alleged price-fixing cartel defrauding the health service of more than £150m.

The company agreed to pay the NHS £13.5m for claims relating to generic drug price fixing, as has been widely reported.

But interestingly, while all this was going on, Norton was headed by a man linked to both the governing party in apartheid South Africa and yes, you've guessed it, Labour Party plc:

‘Isaac Kaye, chairman of pharmaceuticals manufacturer Norton Healthcare, has switched his political allegiance away from the parties that ruled that country under apartheid and towards New Labour. Presumably that must be considered progress of sorts.

‘An Irish citizen entitled to vote in the UK, Kaye first came to Britain from South Africa in 1985, becoming the major shareholder in a company called Harris Pharmaceuticals. Five years later Harris was sold to Ivax Corporation – a Florida-based holding company with subsidiaries involved in the research, development, manufacture and marketing of both branded and generic pharmaceuticals worldwide – and renamed Norton.

'Kaye did rather well out of all this. The £23m he got from the sale now resides in a Channel Islands trust fund. Moreover, Kaye got to stay on as Norton’s chairman, and was also appointed deputy chief executive of Ivax. His stake in the parent company is thought to be worth a further £12m.

‘Norton is now the number one supplier of generic medicines in Britain. It is also one of six companies raided by police investigating an alleged £400m fraud on the NHS in April 2002. Claims of overcharging, and possibly even price-fixing collusion, are at the centre of the probe.’


‘Kaye was a high-value donor to New Labour in 1997, 1998 and 1999. In the latter year, his support reportedly totalled £100,000. He also backed Frank Dobson’s ill-fated bid to be elected mayor of London in 2000 with a cheque for £10,000. Dobson is, of course, a former Secretary of State for Health who ordered NHS doctors to use generics wherever possible.

‘Generic medicines are essentially cheaper substitutes for expensive products developed by the big pharmaceutical multinationals. But Norton has in recent years consistently squeezed the highest possible profits out of the NHS, frequently hiking the price of its products to just below those of the copyright equivalents.

‘In 1998, a pack of Norton thyroxine tablets – a treatment for goitre and thyroid cancer – cost the health service £6.84. The following year, the price rose to £44.89, negating much of the savings that would otherwise have been made. Such tactics saw Ivax’s profits rise over 70% in 2000, despite a 12% decline in turnover.

‘Other of Norton’s business activities in Britain have given cause for concern. In 1996, for instance, it was censured by the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry for offering rather enticing incentives, ranging from Marks & Spencer vouchers to mountain bikes, to high street chemists that ordered its products.

‘Meanwhile, Kaye has refused to recognise trade unions, arguing that they are ‘not in line with company philosophy’.17 In May 2000, a Kentucky judge ruled that Norton unlawfully violated the rights of its nurses at one of its US hospitals, by barring them from union activity in their own time. This was held to be in violation of the National Labor Relations Act.

‘Before he became a chequebook-wielding New Labourite, Kaye enjoyed friendly ties with politicians back in South Africa, where he spent much of his life. Between 1977 and 1982, he served on the board of South African Druggists, a major supplier to the country’s healthcare market. Company documents from the period show that SA Druggists subsidiaries offered lavish gifts to hospital administrators and other medical figures.

‘These included cars, payment of credit card and garage bills, swimming pools and trips to Europe and the Far East. The comparison with the tactics later adopted in the UK is obvious.

‘SA Druggists executives were also seconded to assist the election efforts of the Afrikaaner-led National Party. Kaye is not likely personally to have supported the racist party.

‘But South Africa’s erstwhile National Party minister for health Dr Lapa Munnik – an apartheid stalwart who threatened to close Catholic schools if they dared to admit non-white pupils – claims that Kaye offered him the use of cars to transport supporters to the polls at a crucial 1979 by-election. Another National Party candidate remembers Kaye as a ‘substantial’ backer.

‘These claims are contested by Kaye’s lawyer, who insists that the only
South African party his client supported financially was the liberal opposition Progressive Party. Even so, it was admitted that Kaye did back one National Party candidate on grounds of childhood friendship.

‘Evidence gathered by the police during the April raids is being considered by the Serious Fraud Office. There is no suggestion that Kaye was personally complicit in or even aware of any malpractices. But if it does emerge that Norton has a case to answer, this could certainly prove a political news story worth watching.’

LABOUR Party officials are bracing themselves for yet another possible controversy over party funding, after a raid by the Serious Fraud Office on a pharmaceutical company headed by one of their major donors.

Isaac Kaye, chairman of Norton Healthcare, gave £100,000 to the Labour Party in 1999, and more than £10,000 over the previous two years. He also gave £10,000 towards Frank Dobson's campaign to secure the Labour Party nomination for the post of mayor of London.

His company was one of six major drug suppliers raided in one of the largest fraud investigations ever undertaken. Police are investigating allegations that the NHS was defrauded of up to £400 million through overcharging and price fixing in four years up to December 2000. The investigation is expected to take months to complete, and the SFO has stressed that no arrests are imminent.

advertisementDavid Osler, author of a forthcoming book, Labour Party plc: New Labour as a Party of Business, to be published in September, said yesterday: "There is no suggestion that Kaye was personally complicit in or even aware of any alleged malpractices, but if it does emerge that Norton has a case to answer, Kaye's donations to Labour could certainly prove a political news story worth watching."

Two months ago the Government was hit by the embarrassing revelation that Tony Blair had intervened personally to help the businessman Lakshmi Mittal in the purchase of the privatised Romanian steel industry, shortly after Mr Mittal had donated £125,000 to the Labour Party.

Revelations like these are greatly resented by senior figures in the Labour Party, who say that the information would never have been made public but for legislation which Labour introduced to make political parties declare the sources of their major donations.

Mr Kaye has attracted political controversy before, when it was alleged that he had been a financial backer of the National Party politicians in South Africa during the apartheid years.

Mr Kaye, who left South Africa in 1985, said through his lawyer that he had "disliked" apartheid and had never given financial backing to the National Party, though he had backed one National Party election candidate, John Erasmus, who was a childhood friend.

Now an Irish citizen, he has lived in London for more than 10 years, and has been a registered voter since 1991. He was a major shareholder in Harris Pharmaceuticals, which was sold to a Florida-based company, Ivax, in 1990, and renamed Norton Healthcare.

The company was criticised in 1996 by the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry for offering mountain bikes and Marks and Spencer vouchers to doctors and chemists as inducements to stock the company's products. Norton pointed out that its promotion did not break the law.

Norton Healthcare is among the world's largest suppliers of "generic" drugs - cheaper substitutes for expensive products which have been developed by the multi-national pharmaceutical companies.

While Frank Dobson was Health Secretary, he encouraged the use of generic drugs wherever possible, to save the NHS money. The other suppliers targeted by the SFO were Generics UK, Kent Pharmaceuticals, Regent-GM Laboratories, Goldshield Group and Ranbaxy UK.

Rich people are costing Britain millions in lost tax by not registering their houses in their own names, according to land registry records and independent accountants' estimates. The wealthy individuals who appear to be enjoying the country's choicest property virtually tax-free, thanks to their exploitation of legal loopholes include a number of Labour party donors, as well as the former Tory prime minister Margaret Thatcher, an influential Saudi prince and Mohamed Al Fayed, the controversial owner of Harrods and Fulham football club.

Whether they possess luxury penthouses in Mayfair or mansions in the Cotswolds, many of their expensive homes are registered as belonging to offshore trusts with concealed beneficiaries.

A land registry review last year called on the lord chancellor to outlaw such behaviour as an abuse, saying "it flies in the face of the principle [that] ownership ... of all properties should be in the public domain". But Lord Irvine, the lord chancellor, who is responsible for the land registry, has so far not acted.

Specialist accountants told the Guardian such offshore registration was a classic method of escaping some or all of three kinds of heavy tax which ordinary homeowners must pay - inheritance tax, stamp duty and capital gains tax.

The computer tycoon David Potter, for example, owns not only his London house but also Rush Manor, a lavish home counties retreat by the Thames.

His fortune, despite recent collapses in the value of internet enterprises, is calculated at £98m.

We estimate that he may be avoiding liability on Rush Manor for his heirs of inheritance tax of around £600,000; liability of £80,000 in stamp duty on a sale; and capital gains tax on the profit he would make if he sold the mansion, originally purchased in 1989, of at least £160,000.

However, Mr Potter was one of the few rich people willing to speak to us on the subject.

When we asked why Rush Manor was not registered as owned by him but by the Ropanom Nominee Corporation, care of a London address which proved to be that of his Psion company lawyers, Paisners, he told us it was "complicated".

He said he personally paid tens of millions of pounds in taxes. But when we asked if his home ownership was registered offshore to avoid tax, he replied: "No comment".

Mr Potter, a Labour favourite and £90,000 donor who gave a 1999 lecture at Downing Street on wealth creation, also uses a second controversial tax loophole by claiming to be "non-domiciled". He has lived in Britain for more than 30 years, but was born in South Africa. As the Guardian recently revealed in a series by Nick Davies on Hans Rausing, Britain's richest man, many wealthy people can live here virtually tax-free by claiming that their true home lies elsewhere.

In the eyes of the Inland Revenue, they therefore have "non-domicile status". Although Mr Potter will pay tax on his UK income from Psion, he does not need to pay tax on income and assets he keeps abroad.

Land registry records show the same pattern in the case of a number of high-profile recent donors to the Labour party.

We found:

· a Panama company owning the north London house of pharmaceuticals tycoon Tony Tabatznik;

· an offshore company listed as owning the£9m summer palace occupied by Indian steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal;

· an offshore trust holding the Grosvenor Square flat of the drug manufacturer Isaac Kaye;

· a Jersey trust company listed as owning the Hampstead home of businessman Uri David.

Another donor, financier and philanthropist, Christopher Ondaatje, has given £2m to the Labour party. For 17 years his second house has been Glenthorne, a coastal mansion in north Devon.

Yet although he has written lyrically about his feeling of "coming home" from Canada by buying it, the 93-acre estate is in fact in the name of the offshore Exmoor Ltd.

All these men claim non-domicile status. None wanted to comment on the allegation that they are avoiding tax liabilities on their UK homes.

Mr Mittal's spokeswoman said it was "private ... there is nothing illegal". Mr Ondaatje contacted the Labour party press office and then declined to comment. Mr Kaye's spokeswoman said his home was owned by a company "which is owned by a family trust". Mr David's secretary said: "It is private." Neither Mr Tabatznik nor his accountants had anything to say.

The ability to escape ordinary people's property taxes is not confined to Labour supporters.

Lady Thatcher registers ownership of her £3m London house not in the Thatchers' own name, but in the name of an anonymous offshore company.

Her Chester Square home acquired in 1991 is listed as owned by Bakeland Property Ltd on a 64-year lease. We have established that this is a Jersey company.

Its shares are held by two Jersey individuals who are the Thatcher family's financial advisers, Leonard Day and Hugh Thurston. They are acting as nominees for a trust with concealed beneficiaries, accountants say.

The former prime minister's office refuses to explain why she does not apparently own her own house. Leonard Day in Jersey said: "No one's going to tell you about that."

Other Conservative supporters using offshore ownerships include the former Tory MP for Torbay, Rupert Allason.

Recently described by a judge as "one of the most dishonest witnesses" he had ever seen, over his financial affairs, Mr Allason's £1m second home at Aldworth is in a picturesque English village on the edge of the Berkshire downs. It avoids tax, having been owned for the last 22 years by a Panama company, Polarpark Enterprises.

It has now emerged that the company is in turn owned by a trust whose beneficiaries in Bermuda are Mr Allason's children. (His wife was Bermudian and her foreign domicile appears to make this scheme legal). Mr Allason says: "Don't associate me with setting this up for tax purposes just because my ex-wife happens to be Bermudian. I don't know anything about the tax position."

A previous donor to the Conservative party is Wafic Said, a former operator of a kebab restaurant who made millions in commissions on a 1985 British Aerospace arms deal to sell Tornado fighters to the Saudi royal family. He has a £9m apartment in Eaton Square, one of London's most expensive addresses. But builders' cranes also tower over the Cotswolds countryside where he is erecting a Palladian mansion on the site of Tusmore House, a 3,000-acre estate he bought in 1987.

It is not registered as owned by him but by Tusmore Estates SA, an offshore company. Mr Said, too, claims non-domicile status to avoid paying tax on assets held abroad. His spokesman said: "It has been placed in a trust to make the arrangements simple for the family."

Mr Said's chief Saudi patron, Prince Bandar, has an even more palatial Cotswolds mansion a few miles away, together with a large farming estate and the entire village of Glympton. He is an absentee landlord, with the ownership registered offshore, in the name of a Jersey company listed in turn as owned by a bank official and an accountant.

Prince Bandar's estate manager explained that behind this lay a common scheme - a discretionary trust whose beneficiaries were members of the prince's family. He had been advised this would
enable them to keep the property after his death. "Since he is not resident in this country, no liability for tax arises under this structure."

One of the former Conservative government's more lavish supporters was Mohamed Al Fayed. As well as donating £250,000 in the 1980s, he also famously gave Tory MPs Tim Smith and Neil Hamilton cash in brown envelopes.

But his Surrey mansion, Barrow Green Court, and his Scottish castle at Balnagown, are not owned by him. They are registered to Bocardo, a company in the tax haven of Liechtenstein whose shares are believed to be held in turn at Banque Gonet in Switzerland and controlled by Mr Fayed and his two brothers.

His spokesman, Chester Stern, said it was "fairly common" for the ownership of homes to be put in the name of a company. "It is entirely legal. There are a number of reasons for doing it, not
necessarily to do with tax."

But when asked if Mr Fayed had done it for reasons other than tax, Mr Stern refused to comment."I am not prepared to discuss the reasons ... It is a confidential matter."

Giving rich people with foreign assets special tax breaks is sometimes defended as being of benefit to Britain. But one former economic adviser to Jersey and an expert on offshore tax havens,
John Christensen, told us: "Judging from my experience of dealing with individuals who engage in extensive tax avoidance exercises, the argument that to try to enforce UK tax measures on them will
lead to their withdrawing investments does not hold water."

Last June, the land registry published a report by Andrew Edwards, an expert on offshore tax havens, who called for the concealment loophole to be blocked.

He said compulsory truthful declarations of beneficial ownership of houses would "be invaluable for law enforcement, regulatory and tax authorities".

Willie Nagel, a diamond dealer, is one of the 17 figures who both donated and lent money to Peter Hain. According to the Financial Times, the pair encountered each other when Hain was in the Foreign Office, when they worked together on developing a certificate system to stem the flow of conflict diamonds.

The FT has also been told that when Mr Nagel was approached to donate to Mr Hain's campaign, he wanted to keep his identity secret.

"Last year, Mr Nagel, who is 83, was approached by John Underwood, a former Labour communications director, to give money to Mr Hain’s campaign. Mr Nagel declined because he did not wish his name to be made public. Mr Underwood later asked Mr Nagel to donate to Progressive Policies Forum, a think-tank pursuing worthwhile policy causes. He gave £5,000 and made a three-month loan of £25,000. He was not told the money was going to Mr Hain."

Progressive Policies Forum, incidentally, was set up in December 2006, has no website and lists a solicitor as its only named director and last night nobody in Westminster seems to have heard of. Nagel is understood to have requested that Mr Hain repay a £25,000 interest free loan this weekend

Browns Folly

The news that Gordon Brown has given the go ahead to a new generation of nuclear power reactors is meaningless.

It will not solve the future peak oil, energy crisis, eco-conflict and national energy security issues that will afflict the UK in the future.

Nuclear power is a transition phase solution - it is not THE solution.

Nuclear power can only work if it is a technological stop gap, a back up energy production system that will work as we manufacture, install and bring on line a Green Energy national renewable energy system that produces all our national energy demands.

Along with nuclear we must invest billions in coal and create a whole new egneration of coal mines and the internal infrastructure such as new rail lines to move this coal around the country.

Unless Brown puts in place the funding now, and it will cost hundreds of billions of pounds about the price of two Northern Rock banks, then we face a dark future.

A nation that cannot produce enough energy to satisfy all its national demand is an energy slave to other nations.

We are now dependent upon foreign energy to satisfy our national energy demands.

Middle East oil and Russian gas supplies supply an ever increasing percentage of our national energy demands. At the same time the money these energy corporations are
making is leading to the takeover of our national economic systems.

The money we pay for oil is then used to buy strategic interests in the UK - docks, ports, airports, energy companies, water companies, supermarkets, military companies.

The more we allow foreign corporations and investors to buy up British industries, the less secure we are as a nation.

There are certain sectors of all nations internal infrastructures that must remain under total national control or in the hands of British companies operating under the aegis of the government policies based on national self sufficency ;

Food production and distribution systems - in this case the national agricultural system must be based on a policy of maximum national self suffiency in staple food products and production. The economic systems of the nation must be based on supporting a national agricultural production system not a globalist system.

So much energy is spent into doing so little, just sitting on our arses we absorb more energy in a day than 99 % of human beings in the past used in their entire lifetimes.

People are still alive today who remember the predominant transportation system in London was once the horse and cart, people who remember an era before cars, phones, computers.

The basis of this advance in human civilisations has been due to unlocking energy and the vision of men like Charles Merz who saw how to exploit that energy.

In less than a century we may be back to that level of social complexity unless the Green Energy Revolution is begun and the 100% national renewable energy system and local energy webs are put in place.

The alternative is total slavery to Arab oil, Russian gas or corporate fascism.

The end result of the latter is eventual eco-conflict leading to resource wars and the slow collapse of nations into civil war and anarchy.

For a sign of the Labour governments future intentions towards the Church of England the announcement that the ancient Blasphemy laws that explictly protect the Church of England, are to be scrapped should alarm all Anglicans, monarchists and British constitutionalists.

Religious Relativism is another manifestation of political correctness in that the very concept of an established church in Britain is an affront to multi-cultural diversity. In order to appease the Islamists and the secularists, the Church of England must be disestablished. An established church is like an established culture, people, nation or traditional way of life. Each of those established institutions are irreconcilable with the very notion of diversity and relativism at the heart of multi-culturalism. In order to ensure that all other religions in Britain feel at home here, we must have our institutions, culture, traditions and national way of life destroyed.

The fact that religious hatred laws are already in existence that protect all religions in Britain, but the blasphemy laws only protect the Church of England, means that the intention of this legislative change is to downgrade the status of the church as to just another religion in Britain. This is therefore a direct attack on the British Constitution and the Church of England itself.

Britain is a protestant nation as enshrined in the British Constitution. Other religions have all the same rights as Anglicans, but the Church of England is unique in that is one of the legal and political foundations of the British Constitution itself. The New Labour Revolution has been characterised by the systematic undermining of the British Constitution and the perpetual surrender of our national sovereignity to supra-national institutions. Britain has become just another extension of the supra-national globalist corporate fascist state which is controlled by the EU, UN, US and the global corporations. In order to ensure that this process cannot be reversed then all bastions and institutions of tradition within Britain must be destroyed.

The Church of England has to be disestablished and religious relativism join the ranks of cultural and moral relativism in the tool box of political correctness. On the 1st December 2003 the Archbishop Rowan Williams gave a broadcast which revealed a man ill at ease with the establishment of the Church of England. "It's possible to have very fruitful, very constructive relations with government and public life without all the apparatus of legal establishment as it's evolved in England," he said.

So do not expect any criticism of this constitutional vandalism and betrayal of our culture and history from the one person tasked with protecting the Church. Archbishop Rowan Williams is simply a marxist in a dog collar, a man more interested in gay rights, immigrants and inter faith dialogue than in standing up for the Church of England.

The death of a thousands cuts is how the process of our national destruction has been undertaken, and this is yet another attack on us and our country by a government that no longer represents the people that voted it into power and who it is supposed to be serving.

Barack Obama is Frankensteins Monster.

The monster was born on the pages of the New York Times and Times magazine just over a year ago with the article that touted him as 'Americas first black president'.

Before this media blitzkreig by a cabal of New York liberals to pimp him to the masses, Barack Obama was not even on the political radar.

He was 20 points behind Hilary Clinton, the antichrist in a dress, in the polls for his being a Democratic candidate for President.

It was only once the New York liberals began to propagandise him specifically as his being ' the future black president' that support for him began to rise.

The entire rise and support for Obama was created by the media. Before the media began to pimp him then no-one, apart from a few arselicking BBC journalists who have been rushing to insert themselves between his arse cheeks for over a year, had even registered who Obama was.

Watching the media fawn over him, pimp him out and propagandise him was an abject lesson in the liberal dictatorship that have hijacked America. The entire liberal elite that infest the media all joined forces to pimp him out.

Though Obama is an ideological desert who has zero policies on which to base his support, the fact is that all he needed was publicity.

Obama is truly the first Plastic Presidential Candidate, the disposable candidate for the consumer age.

What is fascinating is just how stupid his supporters are. On every media interview with supporters of Obama when they are asked " what does Barack stand for ? ", they are all clueless.

The white, blond, liberal female student is asked and just smiles (revealing her ten thousand dollars worth of silver braces), blushes crimson, giggles and blinks beneath the thick lenses of her glasses and then just shrugs.

The white middle aged housewife with the bubble perm, thick rimmed glasses and christmas jumper just shrugs and smiles.

The young black man just shouts 'Obama, Obama', and his white jock mates on the football team clap and go 'whahoo'.

Not one of them can say anything other than Obama stands for 'change'

Yes, thats right 'change'.

The one word that is repeated like a mantra for the morons on the media night after night - 'Change'.

If Obama was frozen, stuffed into a glass case and exhibited in congress for the entire duration of his presidency then things would 'change'.

The fact that so many people in America have reached the level of automatons in a political system so dumbed down that people now vote for a candidate simply because they are told too by the media, then where does that leave America and the world.

I dont want democracy to mean oligrachy, where a handful of journalists on a handful of newspapers owned by a handful of media barons and media corporations control the minds of the masses and the political process itself.

Newspapers should only be allowed to print the news, and all should be barred from campaigning for any politicians or political parties at any time.

Legislation should be enacted that restricts the role of the media in the modern society to simply entertainment, advertising and news reporting.

Any newspaper that interferes in the political process should be prohibited from publication.

Democracy must be defended not just against tyrants, but against all those that threaten nthe democratic process itself.

The situation at present is strangely analagous to that of Frankensteins Monster.

Frankenstein creates the monster, just as the media create the politician.

Frankenstein gives the creature life through energy shocks, just as the media give life to a politician through the publicity they give them and the media blitz they unleash.

The monster must do as Frankenstein demands, just as the politician must do as his media masters tell him, for if he refuses the command of his master then the publicity is withdrawn.

If the monster disobeys, then the monster is exiled.

Unlike Frankensteins monster there is no escape for the Monsters made by the media.

They live or die at the whim of their masters. As soon as they pull the plug on the publicity, the monster becomes just a ghost.

The recent attempt by the American pollsters to support the campaign of Obama by predicting his victory in the New Hampshire primaries was an example of how the media are now actively seeking to dictate how an election is decided before the first vote is even cast.

This was a clear example of a media coup d'etat where the New York liberals and their fellow media travellers in the guise of 'independent pollsters' sought to manufacture a victory for Obama.

In other times we would have called this what it was, insurrection.

This was the organised attempt by a political minority to usurp the democratic process itself.

Once in Americas history such men would have been traitors, now they are called journalists.

AMERICA TO VOTE SHREK !

Why is that Barack Obama is called 'Americas first black presidential candidate' when he is in fact half white.

Ever wondered why the media keep banging on about Obama being 'black' all the time, when he is about as 'black' as Hilary Clinton when you put him alongside the average American black living their lives as an atypical black american.

Barack aint black.

Barack has a black father and a white mother, therefore he is mixed race not black.

Nor is he 'culturally black' as he doesnt do bling, wanna be a rap star, run his own gang, play in the NFL, sell drugs and talk about his ho's which are all features of the predominant black ' Bling Culture ' infecting the wider black community at this moment in history. Nor is he one of the afro-centric 'Black Isis' cultists nor is he a sports star nor a black radical.

He is simply a typical colourless liberal with a melatonin gene that gives him a dark skin.

He is neither black nor white, he is the pap of the future race - a misceginated, cultureless, consumer in the American consumer society.

He is the ultimate rootless consumer adrift in a flood of media created false needs whose existence and status is predicated solely on what brands he wears and not what he is or where comes from.

He aint black, he aint white - he's Armani and GAP.

He represents nothing but the dead soul of the once great America, an empty void of endless desires, a landfill of discarded commodities, a lackey in a land of crack heads, fundamentalist christians, criminals and obese idiots that will eventually be ruled by an raceless elite bred simply to ensure the system continues to run.

So he is neither racially black, nor culturally black - but they still call him black.

Why ?

The reason is because the media and Hollywood in particular have been flooding society with the notion of a black president for decades. America has been conditioned to support Barack Obama as a Black president through their TV's since the 1967 film The Heat of the Night which first featured the Black Hero as the archetype of the New Politics.

The New Politics is no longer about politics.

The New Politics is all about conditioning.

The New Politics is the use of the media, TV, Hollywood movies and all cultural transmitters to use the issue of race and anti-racism as the basis of individuals political choices.

The New Politics is about the media creating 'false needs' and then satisfying them -such as it has been doing with advertising for decades. In this case the false need that has been generated is within whites, who have been conditoned to believe that America 'needs' to 'heal' to 'recover' from the 'racism' of the past and to 'unite' under a 'black man' as a way to show their 'guilt' and 'repentance' for the crimes of the past - and the guilt they feel for being white, wealthy and not black.

Because Whites built America and made it rich and powerful, the media have made them feel guilty for this and blamed the whites and the white culture for black underachievement - instead of blacks being responsible for themselves whites have been made to feel guilty for their failures.

This is not only inherently racist in that it presupposes that ;

1) Blacks are incapable of standing on their own feet without whitey helping them

2) That blacks are somehow less responsible for their own actions and therefore that we should cut them some slack simply because they have black skins

3) That whites are somehow uniquely evil as it all whiteys fault for da state of da black community (and never the fault of the blacks themselves)

4) That whitey has a 'racial obligation' to help those racial groups who do not achieve whiteys level of culture

What Americans have been taught to feel is that they are all criminals simply because they are white, and that therefore they should atone for this by prostrating themselves at the feet of a 'black president' as a way of redeeming themselves from this racial inherited sin.

In every TV show or Hollywood film these days we have the same figures, the Black Hero fighting racism/social injustice against bigoted/priveliged whites.

From David and Wayne Palmer in the 24 series, Morgan Freeman as God in Bruce Almighty, Will Smith as the hero anti-racist / scientist who saves the world in I am Legend, the black Jesus in the Maddonna Like A Prayer video, the endless Black cop / fireman, rocket scientist etc in the US tv shows to the endless crap TV dramas about 'racism' on US tv.

The process of preparing the US public for voting for a 'black president' has been part of Hollywoods agenda for decades, filled as it with idiot white liberals, black radicals and Jewish activists.

The fact is that every American is born and raised sucking on the big TV tit.

They are stuck in front of the TV from babies and once hooked, are never weaned off it.

The TV tit is what controls America not the president.

Americans, and most Europeans and British people, are slaves to the media.

As we live in atomised societies with no meaning anymore and with no central directing purpose, there is no meaning to existence anymore.

Note that you never see documentaries about The Zebra Killings, the Death Angels of the Nation of Islam, the mad black serial killers, the Beltway Snipers - instead you see films about black presidents and black gangsters.

The Black President saves the world, whilst the black gangster kills his black athlete cousin in a drug deal going down wrong but blames the white man and 'racism' for his crimes and then dies at the hand of the brutal white cop, coughing up blood and repenting his sins.

If you vote Obama simply because he is black, then you are the sort of person that would vote for Shrek if told too.

That means you are not an individual, that simply means you are a slave.
