Free Movement of EU workers and Geert Wilders

How topical the news that Geert Wilders has been banned from coming into the UK, but the government says it has no powers to stop foreign workers entering the UK.

Well that must mean the powers used by the home secretary Jacqui Smith to ban Geert Wilders from entering the UK must be illegal then.

It appears that the powers to ban elected politicians in the EU exists, but no powers exist to stop foreign workers coming in droves into the UK to take British workers jobs.

What a load of old bollocks.

In his letter today in the London Times, and copied below David Miliband fails to name (and thus shame) the one man who he alleges owns the majority of the 21 British Companies that do business in Zimababwe.

He also refuses to block any action against the individuals who are doing business with Zimbabwe - is it because they are donors to the Labour Party through Lord Levy and his Jewish cabal of bankers that funded and controlled the Labour Party ?.


If the report on Pg-6 of the Times 2-days ago is anything to go-on....then we can assume that one man is John Arnold Bredenkamp - possibly allied to Billy Rautenbach.

British diplomacy on Mugabe is loud and clear

The FCO have spoken up for the people of Zimbabwe, who have voted clearly for change

Sir, Your news coverage has over many years chronicled the death and destruction wrought on Zimbabwe by Robert Mugabe and his cohort. Any sane person realises that Mugabe’s misrule is only spurring Zimbabwe’s descent into chaos. But your leading article (“The failure of quiet diplomacy”, Dec 22) channelled frustration at his continued abuse of power into an attack on the FCO without logic, fact or justification.

You rightly say that “words do little to halt cholera”. But you are wrong to protest that the British Government has engaged in “quiet diplomacy”. On the contrary, our words have been consistent, clear and loud. The Prime Minister and I have spoken up for the people of Zimbabwe, who have voted clearly for change.

And Lord Malloch-Brown could not have been franker when asked about Zimbabwe on the Today programme this week: Mugabe is an absolutely impossible obstacle. If Zimbabwe is to haul itself — with the help it needs and deserves — out of its current meltdown, Mugabe has to go.

You cite the issue of British companies that do business in Zimbabwe. [Of the 21 companies you say have been placed on the US Treasury blacklist, the vast majority are owned by one man = Bredenkamp.] EU-wide action is most effective, and we will press for this in the new year. We have not argued for a total ban on business engagement with Zimbabwe, nor for a “fuel blockade”. I do not dismiss this argument but have so far concluded that further direct damage to the employment and livelihoods of ordinary Zimbabweans would not be right. The last to feel the effects of such blockades would be Mugabe and his entourage. Nor has the democratic opposition in Zimbabwe called for such measures. But we strongly encourage UK companies to ensure that they invest ethically in Zimbabwe and avoid those investments that prop up the elite responsible for repressive action and the subversion of the democratic process.

You also argue for greater action in the UN Security Council. We agree. Last July the UK called and voted for a sanctions resolution. But this was vetoed by Russia and China. They must now answer for their approach. Nevertheless we have persisted in keeping Zimbabwe on the Security Council’s agenda, most recently at the ministerial meeting I attended in New York last week. It is our strong view that this international crisis requires international attention, and we will continue to make that case. It is obvious to everyone that neighbouring states, especially South Africa, have most to lose from instability in Zimbabwe and most to gain from change. That is why we continue to emphasise their role and responsibilities and to urge them to take action.

As long as Mugabe rules Zimbabwe he remains a stain on that country. I acknowledge that he is also a stain on the international community, which has not been able to deliver the will of the Zimbabwean people. If attacking the FCO would help a single Zimbabwean I would understand that might be a price worth paying. But it does not.

After the war a copy of the Stern proposal for an alliance between his movement and the Third Reich was discovered in the files of the German Embassy in Turkey. Community Security Trust and Red Ken Expose

Readers to this site will be aware of the Jewish Chronicle, the Board of Deputies of British Jews and the Community Security Trust campaign against the BNP in the forthcoming London elections.

It now appears that the Jewish Chronicles attempt to portray this anti-BNP campaign by the various Jewish groups as being done in ' the name of the Jewish Community' and not as some part of an attempt to bolster the Labour Party candidate Ken Livingstone was a blatant lie.

The head of the Community Security Trust is Gerald Ronson, is the disgraced former director of the Guinness company ;

Ronson became known in the UK as one of the "Guinness Four" for his part in the Guinness share-trading fraud of the 1980s, along with Ernest Saunders and occasional business associates Jack Lyons and Anthony Parnes. He was convicted in August 1990 of one charge of conspiracy, two of false accounting, and one of theft, and was fined £5 million and given a one-year jail sentence, of which he served six months.

It now appears that the CST involvement in the anti-BNP campaign is based on the Chairman of the CST's support for Ken Livingstone.

Isnt this an example of the sort of duplicitous double dealing and hypocrisy that gives the Jewish community in Britain a bad name, especially as it appears from the article below that Ronson sought to hide his previous support for Ken Livingstone by writing a cheque just ten pounds below the declaration amount as specified by law.

Also questions still remain unanswered as to how much has Ronson donated to Livingstone campaign this time around and most importantly will this money be declared and the expenses of the CST campaign be declared as part of Red Kens election expenses as required by law.

Ken Livingstone received a donation from a property developer with a fraud conviction after the London mayor championed the businessman's plan for a controversial skyscraper.


Gerald Ronson, the tycoon who was jailed for his role in the Guinness share-dealing scandal, wrote a cheque for £4,990 - £10 below the threshold for the public registration of donations with the Electoral Commission.

Mr Ronson made the payment just before Mr Livingstone won re-election in 2004 and two years after receiving planning permission for the 46-storey Heron Tower skyscraper development.

The 202m structure was opposed by English Heritage and the dean of St Paul's Cathedral because it would damage the city's historic skyline, but Mr Livingstone argued that it would "support London's economic future".

Payments to a political party above £5,000 must be publicly declared, but the threshold for individual politicians is only £1,000.

Mr Livingstone's campaign yesterday issued a statement confirming that the donation was received by the Labour Party, which funded the 2004 mayoral campaign, in compliance with Electoral Commission rules. It said the charges were "completely ridiculous".
