Former US secretary to the United Nations John Bolton once famously said: “The [UN] Secretariat building in New York has 38 stories. If it lost ten stories it wouldn’t make a bit of difference.” (H/T Milo)

But I’d say Bolton was being too modest in his aspirations. Far too modest. I’d suggest that if we lost all 38 stories the benefits to mankind would be almost incalculable. Right now, indeed, it’s likely that the United Nations poses a far greater threat to Western Civilisation and the world’s economic future than Al Qaeda does. Have a glance at its latest report World Economic And Social Survey 2011 – and you’ll see what I mean.

The report argues that over the next 40 years our governments must spend an annual minimum of $1.9 trillion – that’s an eyewatering $76 trillion – steering the global economy onto the path of “green growth.”

But “Green growth” – as the report more or less acknowledges – is an oxymoron. That’s why, even though it was supervised by an alleged economist, Dutchman Rob Vos, the report is not at all ashamed to advocate limiting economic growth through rationing, punitive taxation and other forms of government intervention. Why? To combat “Climate Change”, of course.

Here’s the kicker:

“Hence, if, for instance, emission reduction targets cannot be met through accelerated technological progress in energy efficiency and renewable energy generation, it may be necessary to impose caps on energy consumption itself in order to meet climate change mitigation in a timely manner. Proposals to put limits on economic growth can be viewed in this context.” (P.19)

And if shaving off $1.9 trillion from the world economy each year (that’s 3 per cent of the world gross product in 2010) results in further economic stagnation and a lower standard of living for our children and grandchildren, well what the hell. As the report primly tells us, none of us actually needs to earn more than $10,000 a year. Anything more is greedy:

“For example, taking life expectancy as an objective measure of the quality of life, it can be seen that life expectancy does not increase much beyond a per capita income of about $10,000. Similarly…cross-country evidence suggests that there are no significant additional gains in human development (as measured by the human development index) beyond the energy-use level of about 110 gigajoules (GJ) (or two tons of oil equivalent (toe) per capita.”

Are they seriously suggesting that developed economies should ration their people’s energy use? They surely are:

“The Survey estimates that the emissions cap would be equivalent to primary energy consumer consumption of 70 gigajoules per capita per year, which means that the average European would have to cut his or her energy consumption by about half and the average resident of the US by about three quarters.”

So, instead of being able to enjoy a hot shower every day all you Americans, you’ll now confine your warm ablutions to weekends only. Same goes for air-con in summer. And heating in winter. Welcome to the New Green World Order.

What’s amazing about this stuff – and believe me, there’s plenty more where this came from – is the unblushing shamelessness with which it advocates this economic insanity. Here is the world’s most powerful intergovernmental institution essentially arguing for the destruction of the global economy, enforced rationing, Marxist wealth redistribution, greater regulation, the erosion of property rights and global governance by a new world order of technocrats and bureacrats. And being so upfront about it they actually issue press releases, telling us what they’re planning to do and encouraging us to write about it.

This is the thing that amazed while I was researching my book Watermelons. If the global green movement is any kind of conspiracy, then it’s a conspiracy in plain sight. The people in power who are advancing its agenda – be it President Obama’s house eco-activists John Holdren and Carol Browner, Green MP Caroline Lucas, and all those faceless apparatchiks at the UN and the EU – make absolutely no bones about what it is that they want to do to save the world from the peril of “Climate Change”: the end of Industrial Civilisation.

Which might be just about understandable if the crisis we were facing were so great that only the most extreme measures would suffice. But the crisis they describe is non-existent. As I argue in the second half of my book, economic growth and true environmentalism – as opposed to the sick, bastardised, warped, hair-shirt perversion of it currently being dumped on us by the Greenies – go hand in hand.

As economies grow richer, so they have more money to set aside for cleaner rivers, fresher air, as well as to invest in R & D projects for ever more eco-friendly forms of energy. It’s no coincidence that quite the worst environmental damage in the last century was done in those countries behind the Iron Curtain. Free market economies tend naturally to be cleaner and healthier because clean and healthy is what people choose anyway if they can afford it. They don’t need government to step in and take their money in order to spend it inefficiently trying to achieve something which would have happened quite naturally anyway.

What this ludicrous UN report is advocating is the exact opposite of what the world needs if it is to become genuinely greener. All those people in the developing world, if they’re to live healthier, less environmentally damaging lives the very last thing they need is hand-outs from richer economies. What they need is property rights and free trade and the chance to grow their economy to the point where – cf the Kuznets Curve – they can afford the luxury of having to breed fewer children and to heat and light their homes without having to chop down the nearest trees. What they also need for us in the rich West to have thriving economies in order that we can import more of their produce.

Rationing and limits to growth are not the answer. The UN is a menace and we listen to its eco-fascist ravings at our peril

During one of those anti-columnist mobbings on Twitter and Facebook, I started to wonder what would be the best way of ensuring my own personal, profile-raising censure by the forces of online self-righteousness. Attack Michelle Obama? Express scepticism about Bono? Demand compulsory foxhunting, or the closure of the Health Service?

And then I hit on it: I would say that, under certain circumstances, it is a mistake to condemn the BNP. So here it is, this is that column. To your keyboards, Twitterers – unless, of course, you want to read my argument.

The BNP's core weakness, its saving grace, is its own stupidity. The vast majority of its members are sad, ineffectual and damaged losers. The performance in office of its councillors and MEPs has been laughable. Its vote actually fell in the most recent elections, though it picked up two Euro-seats through the weakness of others. The BNP is not a serious party. The main danger is that its opponents and the media talk it up into one.

That, I think, is the risk of a new anti-BNP campaign, called Expose, to be launched next week by the group Unite Against Fascism (UAF). It promises "well-researched information" to "reveal the undemocratic and racist nature of the BNP". In its press release, one of Expose's launch speakers, the Cabinet minister Peter Hain, condemns the appearance by Nick Griffin on the BBC's Question Time, calling it an "outrage" and "circus" that "boosted" the far-Right party.

"Following Griffin's appearance on Question Time, where he made openly homophobic remarks," adds the release, "two gay men – Ian Baynham in London and James Parkes in Liverpool – were killed."

In fact, the attack that killed Baynham took place almost a month before Griffin's Question Time appearance. And though James Parkes was attacked after it, he was not killed. So much for the "well-researched information".

The "undemocratic and racist nature of the BNP" is, alas, its principal attraction for many of its supporters. And though Question Time was indeed a "circus," that was largely the fault of the UAF and its allies, who staged rowdy demonstrations outside the BBC.

All the evidence of our own eyes on the night – and, more importantly, the opinion polls since – shows that despite the UAF's best efforts to get Griffin maximum coverage, his appearance on the programme was a failure, very far from a "boost" to his party.

There are effective ways to defeat the BNP – the group Searchlight has inflicted significant damage on it, through patient voter-registration drives, door-to-door campaigning and precise, genuinely well-researched intelligence driving a dagger into its real weaknesses.

And there are ineffective ways. The BNP thrives on two things: media attention, and the politics of victimhood. The kind of stunt, false claim and mob outrage politics practised by the UAF gets the fascists more of both.

Why do some on the Left give the BNP more credit than it deserves? Why do they pronounce its defeats victories? Why do they credit it with things that never happened? The answer is that the kind of campaigning practised by Hain and the UAF is not about the BNP at all – it's about themselves.

For those, like Hain, compromised by their membership of a morally bankrupt government, opposing the BNP is one of the few ways they can still make themselves look righteous and good. It's one of the few ways they can still prod Labour supporters out to the polls. For Trots of the Socialist Workers' Party, whose members lead the UAF, anti-fascism is a useful common cause to build links with the mainstream Labour movement.

To a slightly worrying extent, the BNP and some of its opponents need each other. I'm not saying they're not also sincere in their hatred of racism. I'm just saying they've got their tactics wrong.

The response of the British security services to what is said would have been Britain’s 9/11, the airline plot , appears to have been both effective and courageous. Unfortunately, certain sections of wider society will no doubt use the incident to attack British Muslim communities as a whole — certain sections being, namely, the BNP and their supporters.

So how should the British media and politicians react to such dangerously racist rhetoric?

In the last few days this issue has become embroiled in the escalating row over giving the BNP a public platform on the BBC’s flagship political show Question Time. Whether we like it or not, the BNP are a legitimate political party with two representatives in the European parliament and the support of 6.2 per cent of the British electorate. As such, they are legitimately — though regrettably —entitled to a platform on mainstream media channels funded by the taxpayer. To refuse them would be to undermine our democratic principles and question our commitment to freedom of speech.

= Blimey Lucy speaks sense. Then again, for her to say ban the BNP would result in a ban for the Islamists she provides succour too, though of course they dont have an electoral mandate like we do. They simply get funds from Leeds council, the government 'anti-extremism Trade Union, Labour group, Black Only Projects' fund.


Moreover, by simply dismissing them outright, we fail to confront and undermine their ideas which are dangerous and divisive.

I recently authored a paper entitled In Defence of British Muslims: A response to BNP racist propaganda in which I established that Nick Griffin and his party’s demonisation of British Muslims is based on factual inaccuracies and an ignorance of history.

As such, their accusations are not difficult to refute. Beyond issues surrounding British Muslims, other hate-filled aspects of their ideology also need to be questioned and exposed.

British politicians, rather than shying away, need to arm themselves intellectually against the BNP and publicly challenge their ideology. If our politicians really believe that Griffin is wrong, they should have the courage to publicly challenge his views.

Daniel, being the big brave politician he is, likes to have a pop at the BNP every few days.

Usually Hitchens wins, but now it appears that Hannan is having a last desperate fondle and fumble trying to knock one out before the elections on Thursday.

Blaming immigrants for our unemployment levels misses the point: the problem is
people who are bone idle

Michael's alarm still goes at 5am every morning, by 7am he has cleaned his Notting Hill house, at 8am the children have a three-course breakfast and by 9 he has walked them to school and is sitting at his desk sending out his CV. Six weeks after he lost his job at Goldman Sachs, he still works a 14-hour day. He now waits tables at his favourite restaurant, sweeps the leaves from the communal garden tennis court and helps the neighbours' Filipina housekeeper to clear the drains.

( 'Michael' also known as Superman also wears his pants on the outside of his trousers and can leap tall buildings in one bound. If you believe this rubbish then I have a bank account in Nigeria with 7 million dollars that you can have if you send me a postal order made out to C.ash. Paul Bright, a factory manager for a paper doily factory in Essex who has also been made redundant, has the same drive. At 60, he could retire. “All I want to do is work again,” he says. “I am like a smoker who doesn't know what to do with his hands once he's quit. I need to feel useful.”

The fact is that it is this government that classified Obesity as a disease and therefore forced doctors to sign off obese people as unfit to work. At the same time the government have signed off as unfit to work a myriad other 'victim groups' - Heroin addicts, Crack addicts, AIDS infected prostitutes, diseased immigrants who have entered the UK with TB and AIDS and a myriad other self inflicted idiots and spongers. This is a problem of government, not unemployment. Pity Thomson is too dim to see that )

These are Britain's two nations. Not those born abroad and those born here, not black or white, rich or poor, men or women, North or South, public or private sector. But those who belong to the world of work and those who are alienated from it, living off the taxes from other people's earnings.

( More drivel. The unemployment rate in the white community is the lowest of all communities. The biggest recipients of welfare in British history have been WORKING BANKERS not unemployed workers. The money spent on the banks dwarfs decades of unemployment benefit. the rest of her drivel about black / white. private / state workers etc is crass and asinine irrelevant rubbish )


In the past ten years a chasm has opened up between the workaholics and the quaintly named “work-shy”. Labour still isn't working, claims a revised version of the classic Tory poster, as unemployment passes two million.

In fact, nearly eight million people of working age in Britain have been “economically inactive” for the past few years. More than 2.5 million of them are on incapacity benefit - of these 2,130 people are too “fat” to work; 1,100 can't work because they have trouble getting to sleep; 4,000 get headaches; 380 are confined to the sofa by haemorrhoids; 3,000 are kept at home by gout; and half a million are too depressed to get a job. According to Dame Carol Black, the National Director of Health and Work, one child in five now comes from a family where neither parent works, yet at the end of last year there were half a million job vacancies.

( So the best that Thomson can do is find about 10,000 people out of 2.5 million whose situation she mocks and then she uses that 10,000 to smear over 2.4 million people. What a fucking bitch. As for the job vacancies - perhaps if the minimum wage were such that people could take a job and be able to buy a house, raise a family and pay their bills on a minium wage income then that would be a major incentive for taking a low paid job. As it is Thomson says half a million jobs exist - are they low paid, low hours, or low paid and long hours - she doesnt care of course, she just needs to print propaganda rather than explain the reality )


The BNP's message over the past decade has been loud and clear - your job is being stolen by the Somali next door. But it's just not true. The Somali and the Romanian, Chinese and Ukrainian are doing jobs that many British won't now contemplate. The majority of migrants to Britain - more than 80 per cent - are earning less than £25,000 a year in industries that have become unpopular for British people to work in.

( The BNP message has been about blaming somalians. What rubbish. I wonder if Thomson has read our website for the past ten years and found out the facts. Of course not, why let truth get in the way of lies. The BNP have merely pointed out that 'More Foreign Workers in the country = less jobs and lower wages for British workers'. We blame the bankers, economists, politicians and media not the immigrants. The reality of the BNP policy can be seen all across the country, except in the Torygraph where simpering tarts like Thomson do not need to worry about Slovenian or Somalian immigrants taking their jobs. As for the money that immigrants make - how much of that money is taxed and how many pay national insurance. 25 grand a year tax free a year is a nice lump sum if you can get it )

That is why immigration in Britain rose by 2.5 million in the past decade and why English is now a second language for one in seven pupils in primary school. Immigrants have kept Britain working. It is also why the Tories couldn't turn immigration into a vote-winner in the past two elections. Only last year £13 million of British fruit and vegetables went unpicked because farmers couldn't find enough British labour to harvest their crops, forcing the Government to raise the quota for migrants under the seasonal agricultural workers' scheme. Now, however, everything has changed. The new unemployed aren't those who don't want to work, they are the committed, driven employees who are horrified at the thought of no longer being able to commute into the office. They are the 3,000 people who are prepared to queue for 150 part-time jobs at Twycross Zoo in the Midlands and who bitterly resent having to sign on.

This is because whilst Alice is saying that the supermen and women are all now working fifty jobs a day none of these jobs they are taking appear to be making any difference to the overall amount of job vacancies on offer or affecting a reduction in the numbers of the rising and registerd unemployed. You see alice hasnt noticed the logical inconsistency in her article which is this - On one hand she says the LONG TERM unemployed dont want to take the half a million jobs on offer, but she doesnt explain why not, and then at the same time she says the newly unemployed proffessionals are working like superman and taking fifty jobs a day to get by. But they arent are they alice. If they were working at fifty jobs a day to get by then there would be no unemployed proffesionals and no job vacancies. If they were taking these jobs that the long term unemployed 'dont want' then the unemployment numbers would be falling and job vacancies numbers would also be falling - neither of which have happened. Instead we have rising numbers of newly unemployed proffessionals and stable numbers of the long term unemployed. It appears that both the newly unemployed proffessionals and the long term unemployed are not taking the exact same jobs on offer. The reason why they are both not taking those jobs on offer is for the exact same reason which is THEY CANT LIVE ON THE SHIT WAGES THAT THOSE SHIT JOBS PAY. So in fact alice has been talking a total load of bollocks. Idiot. )

These are the unemployed who keep Gordon Brown awake at night. The millions of British citizens who are already economically inactive will be eternally grateful to the former Chancellor for having provided them with such generous pocket money, but those now joining the unemployment statistics won't be bought off so easily.

The Government's response has been to blame the immigrants who helped Britain for so long. Only this week Phil Woolas, the Immigration Minister, brought up Sangatte again. Yesterday, as the unemployment figures were released, Hazel Blears, the Secretary of State for Communities, suddenly announced a new migrant tax of £50 on overseas workers coming from outside the EU to pay for their public services.

(Good. Though it should be a £1000 pounds a year from each to pay for NHS services. If they dont pay up then piss off out the country. Oh those poor immigrants. Makes you wonder how this nation survived for so long without them eh. )


But the answer doesn't lie in supertaxing the migrants, cordoning off the white cliffs of Dover or forcing Ethiopians on to planes at gunpoint. Like drugs, immigrants will find a way into this country if the demand exists. They may be putting a strain on the NHS but many services wouldn't exist without them. In 2008, 14.7 per cent of health and social care workers were migrants.

What is required now is the courage to push ahead with welfare reform despite the recession, and close the only gap that matters - between the active and the idle. BNP supporters are like Gordon Brown. They blame others for their own failures.

While Gordon Brown attacks the City for the recession his cheap money created, angry BNP supporters criticise foreigners for the unemployment of which they or people around them are part.

But foreigners are not to blame for long-term joblessness. During the boom years, Britain welcomed immigrant workers because there were no British workers willing to do many jobs.

Even though it became nigh on impossible to find an affordable plumber, few members of the underclass were willing to learn the trade. They preferred to sit at home watching satellite television on incapacity benefit or income support, rather than work.

Yet the BNP ignores this, accusing globalisation "with its export of jobs to the Third World" of "bringing ruin and unemployment." This is a fiction. The total number of jobs in Britain (if you look over the long term) keeps on increasing, and wages keep on rising.

Globalisation brings upheaval, for sure. But those who have lost their jobs should look for new opportunities and retrain, rather than join the political dead end that is the BNP.

1) The first two sentences are trite and asinine Ad Hominem attacks on BNP members with no facts etc to back up any of the assertions eg we are like Gordon Brown.

2) The BNP do not blame foreigners - they are simply a symptom, they are not responsible for the sickness.

Ponces like Simpleton are responsible for the mess - along with the media, economists, banksters and politicians they are all responsible.

Foreigners just make the problem worse.


3) Britain never welcomed in any foreigners or immigrants - the idiots in the government wanted them in vote cheap votes and big business idiots wanted them as cheap labour and to reduce wages.

The British people were never asked if they wanted foreigners in the UK.


4) It was never impossible to find a plumber, though it was impossible to find a CHEAP PLUMBER - before the european union allowed millions of economic migrants into the UK the trade of a British plumber was well paid with loads of work. Wages have now dropped and jobs are going to dodgy europen workers with dodgy qualifications, who dont pay tax and who undercut British workers wages and conditions.


5) Here we see the real intent of this capitalist lickspittle - blame the poor, the unemployed and the diabled for being poor, out of work and disabled and then remove their benefits. In other words whilst the bankster scum who Simpleton supports, and who he has been sticking his tongue up their arses for years, grow rich on the Bankster Welfare State Billions handouts from the government - he wants the poor to be denied benefits.

Fuck off simpleton you scumbag.


6) Jobs in Britain are increasing and wages rising - what planet are you on you idiot.

Unemployment is rising, wages are being cut, most new jobs have gone to foreigners and the working week is being cut in most big industries and this idiot denies it all - must be nice being an overpaid parasite media ponce eh Simpleton.


7) Look for new opportunites and re-train.

The Masses and their Massers

For those 'stupids' out there that think we live in a democracy heres a primer as regards the facts for you ;

We do not live in a Democracy - we live in a Corporatocracy under the Rule of the Tyranny of the Minorities ( the media, judges, corporations, ethnic pressure groups and immigrant lobby groups both socialist left and capitalist right )

A democracy is based on the will of the MAJORITY of the PEOPLE freely excercised.

We live in a country where the interests of minorities take precedence over the rights of the Majority.

Democracy comes from Demos Kratos - the Greek for People Power.

Note how power comes from the PEOPLE.

In Britain, and all modern civilisations, power does not come from the people.

There are in fact three 'Power Structures ' in our society ABOVE that of the people.

The first of these, and the most powerful and dangerous, is the MEDIA.

The MEDIA use their power to condition peoples minds and to get them to vote for the political parties they support. The media propagandise the political parties they wnt elected and then those political parties once in power do what the corporations that own the media want them to do.

The political parties, and the whore politicians, serve the corporations that own the media not the PEOPLE.

The media use what is defined as 'Paradigm Control' to ensure that public opinion, and the bounds of what is regarded as politically and socially acceptable in society, is defined by solely by the Media.

Those political parties that the media do not own and control are labelled as 'extremists' by the media so the masses, with sheep like docility, will not vote for them - and instead will continue to vote for the whore parties and whore politicians owned and controlled by the corporations that control the media.

The next layer of power in our so called 'democracy' are the Judges.

The Judges are able to strike down any laws passed by the politicians. Judges are not voted into power and are not accountable to the people. The Judges in our country are infected with Leftist and Liberal activists following the Gramscian infiltrationist methodology who are using the law ( The ECHR, EU law etc ) to strike down laws which are designed to benefit the British people. These judges serve the interests of the corporations, the left and the immigrant / ethnic lobby groups. The Judges are the enforcement mechanism of the Tyranny of the Minorities. They take the laws passed by the whore politicians, then distort them and change them so they fit the interests of their particular masters.

Most Judges do not serve the interests of Justice or the British people, they serve the interests of the 'shadow government' - that is the corporations, the left, the ethnics and the immigrants.

The next layer are the whore politicians - they serve the interests of the media and the corporations that own / advertise in the media. Without the support of the media the whore politicians do not get elected.

The final - and weakest layer of power in our democracy - are the PEOPLE.

The people are lied too by the media, lied too by the politicians, used by the Judges and finally expected to trot along to the ballot box like conditioned slaves and vote for their 'massers'.

This the masses do like the conditioned slaves they are.

This then brings us to todays article in the Telegraph.

General Musharraf understands how the power structures in Pakistan operate.

The Imams control the Islamists. The Judges serve their particular masters either Liberals or Islamists. The lawyers work for either the Islamists or the Liberals. The media either support the Islamists or the Liberals.

Not one of these sections of society cares about the Pakistani nation or state. They each serve ONLY their own particular sectarian interests.

Therefore Musharraf has acted to shut down these power structures and ensure the survival of the Pakistani nation and state from those Islamists and Liberals that threaten to destroy it.

The Telegraph , with outstanding hypocritical arrogance , has today attacked Musharraf for his 'anti-democratic coup' - coming from a newspaper that is one of the primary agents of the Corporatocracy, the Tyranny of the Minorities and the British Shadow Government, this is laughable.

Musharrafs crime is that he has dismantled the anti-democratic mechanisms in Pakistani society that are destroying the Pakistani nation and State. That includes the shutting down of the media - the primary enemy of democracy in every society.

The Human Rights activists are the groups that assist, fund , support and represent the interests of the terrorists in every nation. Just as the US funded NGO's were involved in the Ukranian Orange Revolution - so the NGO's and 'human rights groups' in Pakistan were tools of foreign Wahhabist Islamist powers - mainly Saudi Arabian who fund those groups.
